A city where time seems to stand still; a city without cars; a city of
dreams... Almost overwhelming to the artist, these floating enchanted
palaces have proved a rich source of inspiration from which these
impressions have flowed. “Churning through the misty waters of the
lagoon in an old vaporetto waterbus, Venice looms up ahead, and I feel
as though I have never been away. Like old friends we pick up again
where we left off.”
Not only is Venice my favourite place in which to draw and paint; it is
also a place in which I love to simply be. A city to savour like an old
wine; never to be rushed.
